Da Vinci II

I've found my new love

He's got the intellect, yes, he's got the mind of

A great philosopher or artist so sure of his place in history

He's a mystery... (dadadada)

I saw him on t.v.

He looks so handsome and he's in a new movie

In which he really does all of his own stunts and his eyes are so green

He knows how to do everything but love me

He paints, writes poems, takes amazing photographs

But he's still humble, kindly signing autographs

His qualities so numerous, his flaws are so few

What's a girl to do? (dadadada)

And he's got strong views

Against all wars, against all human abuse

Quotes Joseph Campbell and he is trilingual fluently

He knows how to do everything but love me

He loves children and (of course) they love him back

Can sing, compose and can fend off an orc attack

His qualities so numerous, his flaws are so few

What's a girl to do? (dadadadada...)

Maybe one day he'll meet me

And I just know that I'll be tongue-tied completely

How could I ever let him know my devotion? It's such a shame

He knows how to do everything but love me.

Mailbox

Your name's still on the mailbox

I can't restart, I gave you my heart

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back?

Your name's still on the mailbox

I still buy your soap, I've still got that hope

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back?

How could you run? You said I was "the one,"

You said we'd be together come rain, come sun

Whether scaling the highest rocks

Or sorting through piles of socks

Was it the day-to-day made you not want to stay?

Chores to do and the bills to pay?

But, see, that's when I loved you best

And that's why I must confess that

Your name's still on the mailbox

The address change went through: I get nothing for you

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back to me?

What if you come back?

Fred Astaire

Now I live day to day

Most of us live that way

We've jobs to work and chores to shirk

And those bills to pay

I've tired of this routine

I want a different scene

To sit and sigh as life goes by

Just isn't for me

Chorus:

I'll dance backwards in high heels and perfect hair

Twirl my twirls in satin negligee if you'll be my Fred Astaire

Martinis and champagne

Dancing in the rain

At each soiree gay repartee

Each summer in Spain

Why be content with less

Than Life lived at its best?

The safe and sane may choose mundane

But let's effervesce, baby

Chorus

Bridge:

Let's have a glamorous romance

Who cares if we dance to the beat of a different drum?

Parumparumparumparumparum...

Chorus
