Da Vinci II

I've found my new love

He's got the intellect, yes, he's got the mind of

A great philosopher or artist so sure of his place in history

He's a mystery... (dadadada)

I saw him on t.v.

He looks so handsome and he's in a new movie

In which he really does all of his own stunts and his eyes are so green

He knows how to do everything but love me

He paints, writes poems, takes amazing photographs

But he's still humble, kindly signing autographs

His qualities so numerous, his flaws are so few

What's a girl to do? (dadadada)

And he's got strong views

Against all wars, against all human abuse

Quotes Joseph Campbell and he is trilingual fluently

He knows how to do everything but love me

He loves children and (of course) they love him back

Can sing, compose and can fend off an orc attack

His qualities so numerous, his flaws are so few

What's a girl to do? (dadadadada...)

Maybe one day he'll meet me

And I just know that I'll be tongue-tied completely

How could I ever let him know my devotion? It's such a shame

He knows how to do everything but love me.

Mailbox

Your name's still on the mailbox

I can't restart, I gave you my heart

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back?

Your name's still on the mailbox

I still buy your soap, I've still got that hope

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back?

How could you run? You said I was "the one,"

You said we'd be together come rain, come sun

Whether scaling the highest rocks

Or sorting through piles of socks

Was it the day-to-day made you not want to stay?

Chores to do and the bills to pay?

But, see, that's when I loved you best

And that's why I must confess that

Your name's still on the mailbox

The address change went through: I get nothing for you

But I refuse to shrug my shoulders and sigh

Or say goodbye to you

Cause what if you come back?

What if you come back to me?

What if you come back?

Fred Astaire

Now I live day to day

Most of us live that way

We've jobs to work and chores to shirk

And those bills to pay

I've tired of this routine

I want a different scene

To sit and sigh as life goes by

Just isn't for me

Chorus:

I'll dance backwards in high heels and perfect hair

Twirl my twirls in satin negligee if you'll be my Fred Astaire

Martinis and champagne

Dancing in the rain

At each soiree gay repartee

Each summer in Spain

Why be content with less

Than Life lived at its best?

The safe and sane may choose mundane

But let's effervesce, baby

Chorus

Bridge:

Let's have a glamorous romance

Who cares if we dance to the beat of a different drum?

Parumparumparumparumparum...

Chorus

Alice in Wonderland Sheet Music

I have had several people request sheet music for Alice in Wonderland so I had the sheet music made up! The person I hired wasn't able to get the accent marks for the Spanish section in the music, unfortunately, but you can see the correct lyrics here.

If it doesn't turn out on your computer, just email me and I'll send you the pdf!

Come Here to Me (The Ice Cream Man Song)

I've heard that what you seek you will find

And it's not, it's not like I mind

But what if I'm not so inclined? What then?

I ask, well, I ask is it a sin

If I asked, I asked the wind to fly my kite

Even though I haven't taken it outside

Chorus:

And I say come, come here, come here to me

Why, oh why, why must it be

I am the one who has to find you?

Early to bed and early to rise

May make you so wealthy and wise

But what if I like sleeping past nine, praytell?

I think, well, I think it would be swell

If I could win the Nobel for the books I'd read

When instead of getting up I'd stayed in bed

And I say...

Chorus

If nothing's ventured, nothing is gained

But it's not all so clear and so sane

What if what you gain brings you pain, what for?

What if I asked for a little bit more

The ice cream man to come to my door

And if he hands me a treat instead of having to chase him down the street?

And I say...

Chorus

Kind of Woman

Why aren't I a woman that no man can resist?

Why aren't I a woman that men would kill each other for my kiss?

Why aren't I a woman who can bring despair with a roll of my eye?

Why aren't I the kind of woman who makes them wonder why they even try?

Why aren't I a woman that makes other girls feel plain?

Why aren't I a woman that other girls just want to have remember their name?

Why aren't I a woman that girls look at, shake their heads and sigh?

Why aren't I the kind of woman that makes them wonder why they even try?

Why aren't I the kind of woman that though no man can keep he never forgets?

The kind of woman that though no man can keep he never regrets?

Why aren't I the woman who breaks the heart of James Bond?

Why aren't I a woman that men still adore though I done them so wrong?

Why aren't I a woman that men speak of, as they break down and cry,

"My God, she was so great. Why did I even try?"

Exceed My Expectations

I kind of like the thought you're an ice cream cone that I have yet to lick

I like the thought that you're an apple that I have yet to pick

But though I'm loving all this sweet anticipation,

I'm ready for you to exceed my expectations.

You're like the first day that I got my favorite blanky

Or like the first time Bonnie and Clyde held up a bank, he said

Though I'm loving all this sweet anticipation,

I'm ready for you to exceed my expectations.

And there's a line of thought says Christmas Eve's much better than Christmas Day

It's so much better before all the secrets are given away

But though I'm all for the night before and stockings yet un-Santa-ed

I'm ready to be the girl you take for granted

And there's a line of thought says coffee smells much better than it tastes

And the way they talk you'd think the rest of the cup's just goes to waste

But though I'm all for lighting coffee-scented candles should I choose to

I'm ready to be the girl that you get used to

You're like a brand new pair of jeans yet to be worn in

But you know the best jeans are the jeans that look like the jeans that you were born in

Though I'm loving all this sweet anticipation,

I'm ready for you to exceed my expectations.
