Alice in Wonderland

Somehow I've made it through life

With my heart still intact

With my baggage still packed, all my goals on track

But now, my goals seem kind of tame

Or did they go down the drain?

Well, there's no one else to blame but me

Chorus:

For I'd die to be the cigarette that lies in your lips

To be the guitar that caresses your hip

To be the strings that sigh as you slide your fingers over me

And it's curious the more you desire the farther you have to fall

But still I'd rather have my heart broken by you than never broken at all

Somehow I've made it through life

With my heart on my sleeve

Easy to deceive, blissfully naïve

But now, my innocence is lost

And I'm glad to pay the cost

Because the dice were tossed by me

Chorus

For I'd rather have my heart broken by you than never broken at all

Hey Emma,
I was wondering if maybe my friend and I could do this song for a talent show, with your permission. He plays piano and I sing and it would be PERFECT. We'd credit you and everything. Shoot me an email (bringbackn64@msn.com) or facebook me (Julia Cook, Aquinas Academy)
Thank you!
Love this song!

Hello there. I'm thinking of performing this song for a competition in my school on April 14th, so do you think you could send me the piano sheet music to this song? I can be contacted at (adrienne.affogato@gmail.com). You will, of course, receive all the credit (I don't plagiarize).

Thanks, and I hope that you'll contact me soon enough.

Hey there Emma. (:

Not to sound like a broken record or anything... but I was wondering if you might be able to send me the sheet music for "Caught" and "Alice in Wonderland". I find both pieces beautiful, alluring and slightly mysterious sounding. I'm hoping to sing one of them for a graduation banquet in about a month and a half and I'd like to have both so that I can run through them a couple times and see which one feels more natural to play. (:

If you'd like, you can reach me via email, livinoffaprayer9@charter.net or undecidedcreature@yahoo.com. Mostly because that's the easiest way to get to me, I have a facebook (which is how I found your music) but I'm hardly ever on it any more.

Well, I thank you immensely for your time because it means so much to me. (:

First time today that I heard this song. Through YouTube. It was used as a background music for a condo ad. I was captivated. I'm a fan.

I love your music, Emma! I love that you have such powerful influences too, like Sting. I actually started listening to your music because a lot of it is similar to Regina Spektor's music (who I love also). This is my favorite song of all the ones you've written.
